Teen Summer Reading Program
Beginning on June 24 students entering grades 6-12 may sign up for the Teen Summer Reading Program at any East Providence library location. Each student will receive a reading chart to keep track of the number of hours he/she reads. Students will earn a free book and raffle ticket after reading for ten hours. After that, students earn a raffle ticket for every five hours of reading. Tickets may be used to enter the raffles of the student’s choice to win gift cards for Borders, itunes, Target and Wal-Mart. The library challenges participants to donate some tickets toward the purchase of a farm animal for a needy village overseas. Raffle winners will be chosen on Thursday August 20.
